Raymond Depardon

In Italian with Chi & Eng Sub

In the 1970s, photographer Raymond Depardon began visiting a 100-year-old psychiatric ward on an island in Venice to photograph their daily activities. Several years later, when he heard the ward was closing, Depardon made his way there again, this time as a film director, to capture the subtle relationship between the doctors, the patients and their family in his moving images.
