Synopsis
At the turn of the last century, the director travelled all over Latin America, from Argentina to Peru and Cuba, all the while taking photos of the people in the street and asking them to write their dreams on a black board. Years later, he retraced his footsteps, looking for those he photographed and posing them the question: Did you live your dream?

Director's Profile
Martín Weber is a multimedia artist whose photographs have won many awards over the years. Map of Latin American Dreams is his first documentary.

Director's Note
This film is based on personal encounters throughout Latin America, where having a dream and the possibilities of its realization grow dimmer. People and their testimony are often reduced to a media spectacle. The film explores a continent over time, in search of what unites and defines us, to strengthen and make visible those ties. It ventures beyond the conventional limits of the gaze, to offer stories of resilience shared by the same people whose lives and dreams are at stake.
