Synopsis
Two young teachers have come to a small Russian town to teach. They also try to engage students in discussions about feminism, human rights and politics. Confronted with unappreciative students, a closedoff conservative school and a society ridden with discrimination and chauvinism, the two realise the gap between the ideal and the reality is just too big.

Director's Profile
Filmmaker and journalist, Yulia Vishnevets now works in Radio Free Europe in Moscow, Russia. Her first documentary feature A House on the Edge (2016) has been screened at numerous film festivals, including the Artodocfest Festival in Moscow.

Director's Note
As a teenager, I was privileged to go to a school where teachers and students were treated as equals. It was created by enthusiasts that wanted to build a new educational system. But when I grew up, I discovered that I knew nothing about the world around me.
