In Cantonese and English with Chi & Eng Sub

Interviewing Hong Kong artists from different fields and generations: Mary Leung, Nancy Loo, Wong Sau Ching, Ong Yong Lock, Calvin Poon, Chu Pak Him, Tommy Ho, Helen Ma and Xavier Sefrin, the film is a journey through art and its creative making process in the fields of music, drama and painting.

Director's Profile
Idris Ho has been working in creative industries for many years. She received her Masters degrees in Cinema Production at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and in Philosophy at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Director's Note
The product of a Practice-as-Research Project, Consciously Unconscious was filmed and edited using an approach best described as, well, consciously unconscious. This approach, emphasising spontaneity, intuition and surrender to the unfolding identity of the film, rekindled the love of film-making, achieved more connected relationships with participants and crew and yielded insights that may be of significant value to the wider professional community
