Synopsis
The director went to search for her estranged mother, a schizophrenic who drifted away when she was only two and who now lives alone in a rural village. The director hopes not only to improve her mother’s livelihood, but also to uncover her pain buried beneath her condition and better understand her emotional world.

Director's Profile
Maria Shevchenko is a journalist and documentary film director. In 2016, she received a Master’s degree in journalism from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Ukraine. Before making documentaries, she produced reality shows.
